Make the greeting the headline

A Christmas card might start with MERRY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY HOLIDAYS, while a Thanksgiving card can say SO THANKFUL. Add a first name or family name to make the greeting personal. The maker includes matching numbers when you want a year in the design.

Put the lettering in your card

Choose Transparent under Background, then Save image. Place the downloaded PNG in your own card or photo layout. The background can show through around the illustrated letters. Keep longer notes in a simple font so the decorative heading stays easy to read.

Send a picture or print your layout

For a quick digital greeting, choose a light or dark background and use Share picture. For a folded or printed holiday card, add the saved lettering to a separate card layout, set the paper size there, and print a test copy. Check the details at the size you will actually use.

Is this a complete holiday card template?

The maker creates illustrated lettering as a PNG picture. You can send that picture as a greeting or place it in your own card layout. It does not add envelopes, fold lines, or mailing services.

Can I make Christmas cards for free?

Creating and saving personal lettering pictures here is free. You can use the PNG in your own personal Christmas card layout; any outside editor or printing service has its own terms and costs.
